The arrest follows a ”very complex investigation” involving Dunn, the former CEO of Ellijay-based North Georgia Medical Center, allegedly taking about $1 million from the company over a period of two years, Gilmer County Sheriff Stacy Nicholson said on the social media post.

Dunn was taken into custody around 8 p.m. Friday, Feb 6 and as of Monday morning, was being held on a $50,000 bond, the agency said.

“Even though detectives are concentrating their efforts on the more blatant egregious allegations, we anticipate this investigation will be ongoing for some time,” Nicholson stated.
