Gas Leak Briefly Closes Road Near Cherokee-Fulton County Line

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Holbrook Campground Road is temporarily closed Tuesday afternoon due to a gas main leak, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services said.

The leak is located at Holbrook Campground and Phillips roads near the Cherokee and Fulton county line, fire officials said shortly after 3:30 p.m.

The road is expected to be closed for at least two to three hours, fire officials said.

Residents in Canton, Woodstock, Alpharetta or Milton could be affected, fire officials said.

It is unknown what caused the leak.
