Holly Springs Gears Up For Holiday Festivities

The city will light its community Christmas tree and host its 11th annual Christmas parade Dec. 4-5, respectively.

Residents are invited to join the city of Holly Springs as it kicks off the holiday season the first weekend of December.

Holly Springs has two family-friendly events lined up for 2015. On Friday, Dec. 4, the city will light the community Christmas tree at the Historic Train Depot, which is located in the heart of the city.

Arrive at 6:30 p.m. for Christmas carols and light refreshments. For the third consecutive year, Holly Springs is partnering with the Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council for the Tree of Hope initiative.

Anyone who would like to see an ornament placed in honor or memory of a loved one or friend can visit the city’s website for more information on how to contribute. The initiative benefits less fortunate seniors in Cherokee County.

At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, the city will host its 11th annual Holly Springs Christmas Parade. The procession will march down Holly Springs Parkway and after ending at the train depot, residents are encouraged to stick around for entertainment, children’s kids crafts, hot cocoa and treats/

Of course, you are also invited to come inside the Depot to have your complimentary picture taken with Santa Claus.
