ICYMI: Career Expo Seeks To Fill Hundreds of Positions

The Georgia Department of Labor will collaborate with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development for the Cherokee County Expo.

The Georgia Department of Labor and the Cherokee Office of Economic Development this week will co-sponsor the Cherokee County Expo.

The job fair will be held from 2 p.m to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center at 1130 Bluff Parkway in Canton.

The expo will provide employers in the area with opportunities to recruit qualified and skilled employees. And, the expo will give jobseekers chances to meet reputable employers and expand their career options.

More than 25 employers are expected to participate in the expo, all of which are well-established Cherokee County employers primarily in manufacturing, medical and government. CoED previously said these employers will be on-hand looking to hire more than 600 qualified workers.

Participating companies include: Aramark, Awnex, Belnick, Chart Industries, Cherokee Sheriff’s Department, Cobblestone Mills FactoryMation, Go Plastics, Inalfa, Morrison Products, Northside Hospital, Pilgrim’s Pride, Pillow Perfect, Piolax, ProLogic ITS, Raydeo Enterprises, RBC Aero Components, RoyTec Industries, Schoen Insulation Services, Southeast Restorations, Stag Enterprises, Transtechnik, UAC and the Woodstock Police and Fire departments.

Job seekers seeking to revamp their resumes before or during the event can meet with career specialists from Chattahoochee Technical College and the GDOL starting at noon the day of the event at a designated area at the conference center.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes, be prepared to talk with employers and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.
