ICYMI: Highway 20 Intersection To Close Sept. 14
The intersection at Sweetwater Trail will be closed until mid-December so it can be tied into its realignment with Knox Bridge Highway.

Starting Monday, the Georgia Department of Transportation will close Upper Sweetwater Trail to through traffic at its intersection with S.R. 20/Knox Bridge Highway.

The intersection will be closed from Sept. 14 to about Dec. 18 in order to tie into its realignment with S.R. 20/Knox Bridge Highway in western Cherokee County, GDOT said.
A posted detour utilizing Rhine Road will be provided during the duration of the construction.

The Georgia Department of Transportation asks motorists to pack their patience, and to also obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of their neighbors and construction crews.
