Without Walls Outreach is pleased to offer a stimulating entry level program.

Developed at the MIT Media Lab, Scratch Programming introduces youngsters to the world of programming in an intuitive and fun way. Scratch stimulates creativity and offers the young programmer a rewarding experience that promotes self-esteem. Scratch is easy to learn and lets youngsters program their own interactive stories, games and animations. Another great feature of Scratch is that campers can see the programming code working in action, allowing them to better understand what is going on when their programs are running. Scratch also serves as an excellent introduction to video game design.

Digital Media: Intro to Web Design - Creative thinkers and artists welcome! Web design doesn’t have to be scary. We’ll learn how to use the basic building blocks of HTML and CSS to build websites. Campers will learn how to create a basic web page and customize it with colors, pictures, and fonts. By the end of the week, students will be able to publish their very own web page (with parent’s consent)!

The daily schedule rolls learning and fun into one:

· 8:45-9:00 Arrive at camp

· 9:00- 10:15 Scratch programming

· 10:15 – 10:35 Snack time, organized computer games

· 10:35am -11:45 Digital Media

· 11:45 Departure
