Labor Day 2017: What's Open, Closed In Cherokee County
Monday, Sept. 4, is Labor Day, and as a federal holiday, it means lots of buildings and offices will be closed.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Labor Day is just around the corner, and it means everything is closed. Well, maybe not everything, but lots of offices and buildings will shut their doors for the holiday.
Here's a list of closures on Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer. Let us know in the comments if we missed anything!
- Most banks will be closed
- U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed
- Most Kroger, Publix and other major grocery stores will be open
- Most restaurants and other consumer-service businesses will be open, but it's worth calling ahead to make sure
- Cherokee County public offices will be closed
- Cherokee County Commission will be closed
- Cherokee County Public Health Services will be closed
