“Seeing our industries, like LAT, plan for growth and future business is a clear indicator of Cherokee’s healthy economy,” said Cherokee Office of Economic Development Chairman Marshall Day. “We are excited to see this company continue to flourish in our community.”

All operations, including their headquarters, will relocate to the new facility. LAT Apparel CEO Gina Watson said the new facility will allow the company’s operations to be housed under one roof.

The location will result in a capital investment of $9.6 million. The company has contracted with Rooker for the completion of the building, which is expected to open ins spring 2016.

“When looking for new land options, there was no question that we would stay in Cherokee,” Watson added. “The support of this community has guided us to where we are today.”
