UPDATE: Missing Cherokee Co. Man Found in Bartow

UPDATE at 9:08 a.m.: Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office said Michael Slonina has been found in neighboring Bartow County and is in “good health.”

Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office are asking residents to help them locate a missing man.

Michael Slonina, 47, of Acworth, was last seen by his wife Tuesday morning, sheriff’s office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said.

Slonina, who left home ”on foot without a cell phone or his wallet,” was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and tan pants, Baker stated.

He is 6’ tall and weights around 190 pounds.

Anyone who sees Slonina or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
