The Cherokee Sheriff's Office says the victim possibly had a medical issue that contributed to the accident.

WALESKA, GA -- A 64-year-old motorist died Monday afternoon in a single vehicle accident in northwest Cherokee County.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office responded to the crash on Salacoa Road just north of Dry Pond Road. They arrived to find a Chevrolet pick-up truck, which appeared to have left the roadway and struck a tree, said Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the truck, identified as Walter Ingram of Jasper, was pronounced dead at Northside Hospital-Cherokee, Baker said.

No other passengers were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. While the sheriff's office's Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the accident, a preliminary review indicates Ingram possibly suffered a medical issue that contributed to the crash, Baker said.
