Man Breaks Through Wall, Steals Pain Pills From Pharmacy: Police

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is searching for the man accused of burglarizing PharMoore Pharmacy on Sixes Road in Canton.

CANTON, GA -- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office continues to work the case of a man who broke through the wall of a pharmacy and made off with thousands of powerful narcotics.

The burglary was reported May 23 at the PharMoore Pharmacy at 3422 Sixes Rd #106 in Canton. Sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley said detectives believe the suspect entered the store on May 22 by breaking the lock on the Farmers Insurance office next door.

He made entry into the insurance office and broke through the wall of the pharmacy. He used a crowbar to open the safe, and removed prescription drugs and pill bottles from the shelves, Sgt. Kelley added.

The May 23 burglary is the second to have occurred at the pharmacy. The first one, reported in March, involved the suspect entering through the nail salon on the opposite side of the business.
