Man Found Shot Outside Canton Restaurant

The Canton Police Department is looking for the suspect who allegedly shot a man outside a restaurant overnight Friday.

Officers responded to a person shot call around 12:05 a.m. July 31 at Bodock’s Bar and Grill, which is located at 150 Riverstone Parkway.
Officers found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his hip area, the agency said in a press release.

Canton police say the shooting occurred outside the eatery following an altercation inside. The victim was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released.
The suspect is described as a black man about 6 feet tall, between 170 and 180 pounds and was sporting a goatee and mustache. He was also seen wearing a black T-shirt, a black and gray cowboy hat, blue jeans and black lace-up boots.
He reportedly fled the scene northbound on Riverstone Parkway towards Interstate 575 in a silver or gold Nissan or Toyota Camry. The model year of the car possibly ranges between 1990 and 2001.
