3 Cherokee Teachers Win Contest

1. This is the last week to help the Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council. Until May 17, vote up to 10 times each day for the local nonprofit, which is in the running for a $25,000 grant from the State Farm Cause An Effect program.  To vote, visit the State Farm Facebook page.

4. Three teachers will be honored this evening as the winners of Barnes and Noble's "My Favorite Teacher" Contest. Open to teachers in Cobb, Cherokee, Pickens, Gilmer and Bartow counties, the winners of the elementary, middle and high school divisions are all from Cherokee.
