There are many as our city is getting better with each passing year. I will detail our city’s progress in my upcoming State of the City address Jan. 22.

I will also look ahead to the coming new year and discuss the issues and goals for our city in 2015. If you are unable to attend the (City) Council meeting Jan. 22 at 6 p.m., I hope you will view the meeting streaming live on Canton’s website.

For now, let me say that I am excited about the new year and the future of our city. Our council is working together and I am confident that we will achieve much success in the coming year. I hope you will get involved as your input to this mayor and council is vitally important.

In my opinion, the best decisions from our City Council come only after we’ve had much public input. City government is a team effort and you are part of the team.
