The event at the Georgia National Cemetery will get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday.

CANTON, GA — The Georgia National Cemetery on Saturday will hosts its annual Memorial Day ceremony honoring the service men and women who've made the ultimate sacrifice.

That event kicks off at 10 a.m. May 26. Before the program, a Knights of Columbus mass will take place at 7:30 a.m. and the Scout Gravesite flag placement will get underway at 9 a.m.

Please note that if you plan to attend Saturday's event, organizers ask that you carpool and arrive early due to parking constraints. Folding chairs, blankets and weather-related items -- umbrellas, hats, hand fans, and water -- are recommended items to bring to enjoy the ceremony. The Georgia National Cemetery is located at 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive in Canton.
