Dr. Rebecca Ann Ray, age 79, of Ball Ground, GA passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at her residence. A celebration of life is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 in the chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Bishop Lance Johnson, Dr. Sharon Gorman and Pastor Butch Roberts officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, and from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by husband, Howard Ray; daughter, Sherry Ray Poole; parents, Florence and Dewey Wood; and one sister and two brothers.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jorene and Billy Cleghorn; grandson, Jacob Cleghorn and fiance Maggie Mcenerny; granddaughter, Jodi and Jason Frank; great-granddaughter, Jemma Frank.

The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to the Ball Ground Historical Society in memory of Dr. Ray.
