The Rev. Eric Shane Mayo, 43, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Wheeler, Rev. Alan Garrett, Rev. Nathan Smith and Rev. Adam Parker officiating.

An additional funeral service for family and church families are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, from the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Childers, Rev. Robert Allen, Rev. Buck Parker and Rev. Kenny Griffith officiating. Internment to follow in the Mt. Calvary Church Cemetery.

The family received friends Wednesday, July 13; Thursday, July 14; Friday, July 15; and Saturday, July 16 at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. C. and Ruby Chambers, John Henry and Pearl Gable and J. B. Mayo, Sr.

Survivors include wife, Ashley Mayo, Jasper; father, J. B. (Buddy) Mayo, Jr. of Canton; mother, Evelyn Mayo of Canton; father-in-law and mother-in-Law, Tommy and Sherry Gheesling of Jasper; son, Garrett Mayo of Jasper; daughter, Kaylin Mayo of Jasper; brother, J. B. & Donna Mayo of Canton; sister, Melissa (Missy) Brown of Canton; sister, Rhonda (Cissy) and Scott Price of Canton; nephews, Andrew Waters, Chase Waters, Coty Mayo, Brandon Price and Levi Mayo; niece, Amber Mayo; great-nieces, Peyton, Briley, Harley, Lillie Ann, Gracie, Bethany; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
