In Memory: Jeff Blackwell, 49, Talented Musician and Songwriter

Mr. Jeff Blackwell, 49, of Ball Ground, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gene Hyde, Rev. Mike Byess, Rev. William Blackwell and Mr. Ivan Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends on Monday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeff was a talented musician and songwriter. He loved entertaining people and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Blackwell and brother, Michael Blackwell. Survivors include his mother, Jackie Blackwell of Ball Ground; son, Holden Blackwell of Ball Ground; nephew, Chris Blackwell and great-niece, Rylan Blackwell of Ball Ground; sister-in-law, Donna Blackwell Ray and special caregiver and friend, Donna Lynn Brown; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
