The following obituary was submitted by South Canton Funeral Home and Chapel:

Michael Shockley, age 46, of Canton, GA passed away Monday, May 11, 2015. He was a loving father, husband, and proud member of the United States Navy.

Funeral services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, May 21 at First Baptist Church of Woodstock with Rev. Brian Ergle officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 at South Canton Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by, father, Tommy Shockley.

Survivors include: wife, Brandi Shockley of Canton; children Hayden and Taylor Shockley of Canton; mother Judy Shockley of Marietta; brothers Beau Shockley of Marietta and and Tyler Shockley of Barnesville; and sister Megan Rose Shockley of Barnesville.
