In Memory: Tommy Anderson, 64, Retired State Trooper

Funeral services for Anderson, a member of Canton First United Methodist Church, will be held Sunday, April 10.

Wendell "Tommy" Thomas Anderson Jr., age 64 of Waleska, passed away on April 7, 2016 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

Visitation services will begin Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 10, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Reverend Martha Felding and Reverend Jim McRae will officiate the service.

Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Anderson of Waleska; mother, Dot Anderson of Canton; daughters Amanda (Todd) Syprett of Duluth and Lindsey (Joey) Cochran of Cumming; sister Patty (Tommy) Mann of Canton and six grandchildren, Suzanna Cochran, Ben Cochran, Ellie Cochran, Marlee Cochran, Cameron Syprett, and Regan Syprett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation for Cameron Syprett, or to the Canton Masonic Lodge. Tommy was a retired Georgia State Trooper. He was a member of Canton Lodge #77 F&AM, and also a member of Canton First United Methodist Church.

Tommy will always be remembered as a caring and compassionate, kind, generous and loving man.
