New Magistrate Judge Takes Oath of Office

Robert B. Tidwell last month was sworn into office as the new associate judge for Cherokee County Magistrate Court.

Cherokee County Chief Probate Judge Keith Wood administered the oath of office in a small ceremony attended by family, judges, and members of the local bar.

Judge Tidwell has more than 14 years of trial and appellate experience, having represented clients in bench and jury trials in state and federal courts. He studied law at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. He currently practices personal injury law in Canton as a principal of The Tidwell Firm.
