No Injuries After Shots Fire Into Canton Home: Reports
A 29-year-old Cartersville man is being held without bond in Cherokee County in connection with the shooting.
CANTON, GA — Cherokee Sheriff's deputies responded to a "shots fired call" on May 10 at a home on Carmichael Circle in the Carmichael Farms subdivision.
When deputies arrived, they found five shell casings in the street. Deputies spoke with the homeowner, who was inside the home at the time of the incident. The homeowner said she did not know who would have shot at her house or why. The home was hit five times. One of the rounds entered through a window, and the bullet was found in a walk-in closet. No one inside the home was injured.
A light blue Mazda 6 was captured on video driving by the house as the shots were fired.

Detectives began an investigation, and were able to identify a possible suspect who lives in Cartersville. Friday afternoon, Cherokee Sheriff's detectives and the Cherokee County Multi-Agency SWAT team went to a home on Catherine Way in Cartersville, where they arrested Timothy Gregory, 29.
Three firearms were found inside Gregory's home, one matched the caliber of the shell casings located on Carmichael Circle.

The motive of the shooting remains under investigation. Gregory went to high school with one of the owners of the home, but it doesn't appear they have had any contact since that time.
Gregory is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, discharging a firearm near a road, first degree criminal damage to property, and unauthorized use of a license plate.
He is currently in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without bond.
