No Injuries In Ball Ground Fire

No one was home at the time of the Tuesday morning fire in Ball Ground.

BALL GROUND, GA — There were no injuries in a Hogan Pond Lane fire Tuesday morning near Ball Ground in unincorporated Cherokee County, according to fire officials.

Firefighters responded around 7:45 a.m. to a vacant single-story home with fire and smoke coming out of the roof and other openings, according to Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services.

Hogan Pond was shut down while crews tended to the fire and gained access to a fire hydrant across the road, fire officials said.
