No Injuries In Canton Restaurant Fire

Crews responded to a commercial structure fire Sunday at Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q.

CANTON, GA — No injuries were reported after a fire broke out Sunday morning at Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q, according to Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services.

Fire crews arrived around 1 a.m. to 1600 Marietta Highway, where they found smoke coming out of the building, according to the department.

The fire started in a dry storage room, Michael Sims, public information officer, told Patch.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

"Thanks to the hard work and ability to adapt by firefighters on scene, the fire was located and quickly extinguished before more damage could occur," fire officials said in a news release.
