1. Breathe. Your 2011 tax return isn't due today. You've got one more day to file it or to request an extension. Normally, the tax deadline is April 15. But this year, April 15 fell on a Sunday. And today is Emancipation Day, a holiday observed in the District of Columbia. "According to federal law, District of Columbia holidays impact tax deadlines in the same way that federal holidays do; therefore, all taxpayers will have two extra days to file this year," the Internal Revenue Service said in a Jan. 4 press release.

2. It's Monday, which means a new Readers' Choice poll. With the warm temperatures in the air, Canton-Sixes Patch wants to know your favorite restaurant for outdoor dining. The poll goes live at 5 a.m. You have until 9 a.m. Friday to vote and comment.
