Northside Hospital Cherokee Offers Safe Sitter Course

The course provides teens with the knowledge and skills they need while caring for someone else.

CANTON, GA -- Northside Hospital Cherokee is offering a Safe Sitter class later this month for area teenagers.

The class is scheduled for 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 17. The Safe Sitter program is designed to help teens learn important skills while caring for others. Safety, child care, first aid (including CPR) and rescue skills will be among the topics students will learn about in the class.

The class will be held at the hospital's education facility at 2001 Professional Parkway in Woodstock. The cost of the course is $40 per student, and includes a sitter kit and workbook.
