Obituary: Ruth Benefield Pruitt, 69
Pruitt was a line worker for Seaboard Farms and a member of Welcome All Baptist Church.

Ruth Benefield Pruitt, 69, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Northside Hospital-Cherokee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday.
Pruitt was a line worker for Seaboard Farms. She was a member of Welcome All Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, dancing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Pruitt. Survivors include her children, Gail (Dennis) Kennedy of Ball Ground, Danny Benefield of Canton, Steve (Becky) Benefield of Ellijay, Robert (Joanna) Benefield of Ball Ground and Laura Ghorley of Canton; siblings, Melvin Setser of Acworth, Jerry Setser of Waleska, Margaret Hollifield of Canton, Cecil Setser of Woodstock, Christine Phyfe of Waleska and Hazel Lowe of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
