Perdue Endorses Wallace

Shannon Wallace also has the support of current Cherokee DA Garry Moss.

Shannon Wallace, who hopes to succeed Garry Moss as the county's top prosecutor, picked up an endorsement today from former Gov. Sonny Perdue. 

“Shannon Wallace is a veteran prosecutor with a proven track record of protecting the community,” Perdue said in a statement. “She has dedicated her life to public service and the safety and betterment of her community. As your governor, I had the privilege to appoint several district attorneys across our state. I can tell you that Shannon is highly qualified for this job and will be an outstanding district attorney for the people of Cherokee County. I encourage you to support and vote for Shannon Wallace.”

Wallace said in a statement that she was “proud and excited by Governor Perdue’s endorsement and support.

“He understands that we need a prosecutor who has the right kind of experience to lead the district attorney’s office andprotect our families. I am the most experienced prosecutor seeking this office, and in fact, the only candidate with experience indicting and prosecuting felony crime – the responsibility of the district attorney.”
