Person Killed In Cherokee County House Fire Identified
The fatal fire happened at Vaughn Road, where the 27-year-old was found on the second floor of the home.
CANTON — The person who died in a Tuesday night house fire at Vaughn Road was identified Wednesday by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office as Taylor Beasley, 27, of Canton.
Firefighters responded around 11 p.m. to the two-story home, where they found heavy fire coming from the front of the house, according to the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire officials said they removed someone from the second floor of the home before crews treated them and took them to a local hospital, where the person was pronounced dead. Authorities identified the person as Beasley.

Beasley was the sole resident home at the time of the fire, officials said.
An on-scene firefighter received non-threatening injuries while responding to the fire and is in stable condition, fire officials said.

The fire started on the front porch of the home though the cause was not released.
