Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Excels In Patient Safety

JASPER, GA -- Piedmont Mountainside Hospital has received an "A" for its commitment to patient safety, according to the spring 2017 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.

Piedmont Mountainside is one of 823 hospitals nationwide to earn top marks. This marks the four consecutive A for the Pickens County hospital, which shows sustained performance over time.

The Hospital Safety Grade is the gold standard rating for patient safety, compiled under the guidance of the nation’s leading patient safety experts. Administered by The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization committed to driving quality, safety and transparency in the U.S. health care system, the Hospital Safety Grade uses 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year.
