Piolax USA Announces Expansion of Canton Facility
The expansion is slated to bring 30 new jobs and open in 2016.

Canton-based automotive manufacture Piolax USA has announced plans to expand its facility located in the Canton-Cherokee Business & Industrial Park.

The company, which specializes in plastic and metal automotive parts, has been a part of the community for nearly 30 years.
The groundbreaking for the 82,000 square foot expansion was held on Thursday, Sept. 3. The expansion will add 30 jobs to their already substantial workforce of 255 employees.

“Piolax has made a significant impact on the Cherokee workforce, attracting skilled labor since first arriving in 1988,” said Steve L. Holcomb, Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED) vice chairman. “We are extremely proud to have this well establish company in our county.”
The new automotive warehouse facility is anticipated to open in 2016.
Canton Mayor Gene Hobgood was excited to hear of the plans to expand, adding “Piolax USA has been a good corporate partner to our city.”
“We are pleased that they continue to grow,” he said.
