Police: Car Runs Over Man's Foot As He Crossed Street
Canton police are looking for the driver of an Orange Dodge Dart, who allegedly ran over the foot of a man crossing Marietta Highway.

The Canton Police Department is asking the public to help them solve a hit and run incident that occurred last week.
According to the agency’s blog entry, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at the intersection of Marietta Highway and Woodland Way near the Cherokee County Tax Commissioner’s Office.

“The victim and his family were crossing the roadway on foot when an orange Dodge Dart approached them without slowing down,” the agency wrote. “The victim’s foot was struck by the vehicle causing injuries. The vehicle failed to stop and continued driving south on Marietta Highway.”
The orange Dodge Dart, which is believed to be a newer model, had either a gray or black stripe on the side. The driver was described as a young black woman with short hair.
