Police: Suspect Wearing Ski Mask Robs CVS Pharmacy

The store at the corner of Bells Ferry and Sixes roads in Canton was the site of an armed robbery early Saturday morning.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery involving a suspect wearing a ski mask.

According to the agency’s press release, deputies responded to CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Bells Ferry and Sixes roads in unincorporated Canton around 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

A clerk was opening the store when a man wearing black pants and coat, brown shoes, white gloves and a ski mask entered the store, spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said in a press release.

“The suspect had a handgun in his waistband and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the store as well as personal items from the clerk,” he added. “The suspect then locked the clerk in a bathroom and left the store.”

The suspect’s image was captured on security cameras inside the store. His height is estimated at 5’6” and the clerk described him as a black male, Baker said.
