Portion of Keeter Road To Close To Traffic For 5 Months
The road will be closed to through traffic for various projects related to the reconstruction of the roadway.

Canton, GA -- Motorists who rely on Keeter Road may want to make a note of an upcoming five month closure of a portion of the street.

The Cherokee County Roadway Capital Program Management Division will close Keeter Road to through traffic from Feb. 8 through about July 13 for culvert pipe replacement, horizontal realignment and vertical grade changes associated with the reconstruction of the roadway.

The road will be closed from roughly where it turns into Prominence Point Parkway to near Holly Street.
A posted detour will be provided during the duration of the construction. The detour route utilizes Holly Street and Ridge Road.
Cherokee County appreciates residents’ patience during the detour period and requests that motorists obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of their neighbors and contractors’ personnel.
