Prostate Screening Set For May 17 In Cherokee County
Northside Hospital-Cherokee will sponsor the initiative at its hospital in Canton.

CANTON, GA —Northside Hospital Cancer Institute will offer a community screening to determine a man's risk for developing prostate cancer.
Residents can stop by from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17 for a screening at Northside Hospital Cherokee Cancer Center, which is at 460 Northside Cherokee Boulevard Suite T10 in Canton.
Those who are eligible to receive the screening are men between 45 and 75 who have had no diagnosis of prostate cancer and have not had an exam within the past year.

The screenings will be administered by health care professionals and include a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. A nurse navigator will be available to help arrange follow-up care, if indicated. Interpretation services also will be available free of charge during the screening.
