Reinhardt University To Host 5K For A DAY Fundraiser

Residents who like to get outdoors and pound the pavement will soon have another race to participate in for a good cause.

Reinhardt University later this month will host its first ever 5K for A DAY. The race will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, and will raise money for the university’s scholarships.

The last day to pre-register for $25 is Saturday, Sept. 5. After that and until the day of the race, the price is $30. The cost to participate in the 5K Run/Walk for children 12 and under is $15. For those who may not want to run or walk, you can make a $25 donation to support a student.

Walkers and runners alike will be greeted with refreshments, water and door prizes upon completion of the race. There will be also be trophies for overall first, second and third-place winners in both male and female categories.

Pre-registration packet pick up will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at Community & Southern Bank, which is located at 134 Keith Drive in Canton.
