The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections Feb. 8-15 at the following establishments:

  • Observed dishwasher and some servers failing to wash their hands after handling soiled dishware. Person-in-charge (PIC) must retrain and monitor employee's hand washing practices. Contact the Health Authority if assistance with this training is needed.
  • Covered base and wall in dish area in disrepair. This area must be repaired so that proper cleaning is possible.

  • Observed ice bin in the bar area left uncovered. Corrected on site by covering with lids.
  • Observed mold inside the ice machine Must thoroughly clean and sanitize the ice machine.
  • Observed potentially hazardous food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Corrected onsite by moving the food items to the walk in cooler.
  • Must thoroughly clean the gaskets and inside and outside of all the coolers and freezers.
  • Observed grease and food behind the equipment.. Must thoroughly scrub and clean the floors.
  • Observed improper storage of maintenance tools that interferes with cleaning.

  • Observed ice bins left uncovered both in the bar and in the kitchen area. Observed the chicken left uncovered. The bowls used for coating the wings with the sauce were left uncovered. Corrected onsite by covering them with lids.
  • Must thoroughly clean the gaskets and doors of all the coolers and freezers. Must clean the floors.
  • Remarks: This facility does not par cook the chicken wings. They only cook to order from raw wings.
