Restaurant Inspections: The French Truck, Newk's, Brain Freeze

The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections July 18-25 at the following establishments:

View inspections: July 23, 2018 Score: 89, Grade: B

• Observed Home Defense spray and Spectracide wasp spray in kitchen area. These sprays are not indicated as safe for use in a food establishment. Remove these sprays and use only food facility safe pest control measures.
• Thermometers missing in cooler units in back kitchen. Ensure there are thermometers in all coolers.
• Facility does not have proper test strips for sanitizer that is being used. Obtain test strips for QUAT sanitizer.
• Remarks: commercial storage cooler has been replaced with residential type. This unit must be capable of maintaining product temp at 41°F. Remove glass light bulb in unit.
