The 2015 honors were presented at the Georgia PTA Annual Convention’s awards ceremony, which is held each summer.

Stefano, a registered nurse, was selected as the outstanding nurse from a group of nominees from elementary, middle and high schools across the state.

As part of the judging criteria, she was evaluated by the Bascomb Elementary School principal and by a group of Bascomb students on her ability to make a significant difference in student lives.
