Canton, GA -- The Cherokee County School District has cancelled all school activities planned for Saturday.

All district-related activities, including SAT testing, have been called off for Jan. 23, the system said late Friday.
This decision follows the district’s decision to cancel classes and activities and close its offices for Jan. 22.

Cherokee County is now under a Winter Weather Advisory, which went into effect at 3 p.m. Friday. That advisory is set to expire at 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Residents and motorists alike are strongly encouraged to stay off the roads while the advisory period remains in effect.
