Scout popcorn fundraiser exceeds sales goal
Thank you for purchasing popcorn and supporting local scouts in their adventures.
It may have happened to you over the past few months. A local Cub or Boy Scout, dressed in their uniform, knocked on your door and asked if you would support their local scouting efforts by purchasing popcorn. Many people did just that, and the Boy Scouts of America - Appalachian Trail District sold $195,397 in popcorn products and military donations. This is a 9% growth over 2014 popcorn sales. Each Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop will receive a portion of these sales to support their scouting activities, which may include certain annual events, outings, awards and supplies. The Scouts of the Appalachian Trail District wish to thank each and every person that purchased popcorn and/or made a military donation for supporting scouting in their area.
