Storage Tank Maintenance Could Result in Low Water Pressure

The city of Canton will kick off the project on the Ridge Pine Ground Storage Water Tank on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

The city of Canton will be conducting maintenance on the Ridge Pine Ground Storage Water Tank in South Canton early next week.

The maintenance is set to start on Tuesday, Nov. 17. However, to prepare for the maintenance, the tank will be drained beginning Monday, Nov. 16.

Although the city said it will make very effort to maintain water service without interruption, customers within the area outlined in red may experience a period of low water pressure. The system is expected to be returned to normal on Thursday, Nov. 19.

However, you may experience air in your water (it will appear milky in color) immediately after the tank is placed back in service. To expel the air from your lines simply run your water for 5 to 10 minutes.
