Student Athletes To Be Honored By Cherokee Sports Hall Of Fame
The event will recognize this year's Hall of Fame inductees, as well as the Most Outstanding Senior Athletes male and female honorees.

From CCSD: The Cherokee County Sports Hall of Fame will honor a dozen top Cherokee County School District student athletes as part of its annual banquet.
The event on May 4, 2018 will recognize this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, as well as the Most Outstanding Senior Athletes male and female honorees from each CCSD high school.
The 2018 Most Outstanding Senior Athletes are: Cherokee HS, Laiken Wade and DeMond Ellison; Creekview HS, Mackenzie Cherry and Braden Johnson; Etowah HS, Skylar Wallace and Patrick Ferris; River Ridge HS, Faith Arthur and Chris Williams; Sequoyah HS, Rachel Renner and Wesley Potter; Woodstock HS, Emilee Harris and Noah Frith.

The Hall of Fame inductees are: Greg Key, Cherokee HS and Furman University Football standout; Lonnie Jones, Sequoyah HS State Wrestling Champion; and Byron Dobbs in the new sports contributor category. The 2006 Woodstock HS State Championship Softball team, coached by Tonya Sebring, currently a Woodstock HS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, will be honored.
The annual banquet is at 6:30 p.m. May 4 at First Baptist Church of Canton. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children. Information including on ticket orders is online at www.ccshof.net
