Students at Cherokee Charter Academy Honor Veterans
Canton, GA—Previously known as Armistice Day to celebrate the end of World War I, Veterans Day has now grown into an annually celebrated day to honor the dedication, commitment, and service of all U.S. citizens, past and present.
To honor our veterans, students in all grade levels create veteran posters. Students have the option of choosing members of their family, members of the community, or someone who they have learned about. These posters express and highlight their gratitude and appreciation, as they understand more and more what it means to serve and protect the freedoms of our country.

Today in honor of the men and women who have served, and those who are currently serving and protecting our citizens, the students’ posters are on full display, donning the campus, expressing gratitude and appreciation for their service.
So, to all service men and women, we at Cherokee Charter Academy thank you for your commitment, dedication, and willingness to uphold the freedoms we enjoy as United States citizens. We salute you!
