Students Disciplined For Filming Racially Charged Video At School
Administrators at Sequoyah High School were made aware of the video April 29 and took action, the Cherokee County School District said.

HICKORY FLAT, GA -- The Cherokee County School District has taken disciplinary action against the students involved in a video in which one teen is recorded making racially charged comments and threatening a security officer.

The school district said administrators at Sequoyah High School were made aware of the video on Friday, April 29, and investigated the incident. The video, according to WSB-TV, was filmed inside a common area at the high school.
In the video, according to WSB-TV, one student is recording as saying, "I feel like n------ are a direct problem, because of ISIS. We should kill them, too."

WSB-TV also notes the teenager allegedly said a school police officer at facility, which the station said is African-American, "would get what she has coming for her."

District spokesperson Barbara Jacoby told Patch it's unclear how many students saw the video and while the district "legally cannot disclose administrative action, the students involved are being disciplined."
"CCSD does not tolerate threats or hate speech in our schools," she added.
