Teasley Middle Named Breakout School
The school received the Distinguished Breakout Middle School from the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals.

The Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals has named Canton's own Teasley Middle School as a Distinguished Breakout Middle School.
The school was awarded the title during the association's fall conference over the weekend. The recognition also came with a $1,000 donation, which can be used at the school.
Teasley was one of six schools across the state that were initially named Breakout Middle Schools. However, the association during the conference surprised two of those six schools by naming them as Distinguished Breakout Middle Schools.

The association during the conference also named its 2013 Assistant Principal of the Year. Teasley Assistant Principal Amy Graham was one of four finalists across the state in the running for the honor.
Teasley Principal Dr. Susan Zinkil and the school's leadership team will be recognized by the Cherokee County School Board during its meeting on Thursday.
