Traffic Shift Planned for S.R. 372 at Etowah River Bridge
The shift is part of Georgia DOT's $5.6 million project constructing a new bridge, which is about 2 miles southeast of Ball Ground.

CANTON, GA -- Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation will shift traffic to the permanent configuration on a new bridge along S.R. 372.
The new bridge is located over the Etowah River in Cherokee County, and the traffic shift scheduled for Monday, Aug. 1 is part of the project to build the structure and its approaches at the location.
The bridge is about two miles southeast of the Ball Ground city limits, GDOT notes.

Work on the $5.6 million project started in October 2014, and the entire project is slated to wrap by the end of November.
As always, motorists are advised to slow down and proceed with caution in the work zone.
