Welcome Back Breakfast Honored Reinhardt University Employees
Employees who've served as few as five years to as many as 40 were recognized just days before the star of the fall 2015 semester.

Faculty and staff took center stage Aug. 11 at Reinhardt University’s annual Welcome Back Breakfast.

The event honored employees with notable years of service, introduced all the new employees and provided everyone with a catered breakfast.
Receiving service awards this year were: Susan Naylor, associate professor of music, 40 years; Joel Langford, director of library services, 30 years; and Viviana Baxter, associate professor of Spanish language and education, 25 years.

Those awarded for 15 years included: David Doster, director of IT and CTO; Joe Kitchens, executive director of the Funk Heritage Center; Jeremy Settle, groundskeeper; Angie Harlow, director of financial aid; Karen Kitchens, executive administrative assistant to the vice president for student affairs and dean of students; Helen Walker, weekend museum manager; Peggy Morlier, associate vice president for graduate studies; and Barbara Starr, administrative assistant for the Funk Heritage Center.
Earning their 10-year service award were: Janet Rodning, registrar; Martie Turner, admissions coordinator; Jessica Akers, director of the Falany Performing Arts Center; Amanda Brown, graphic designer; Anne Good, associate professor of history; Roger Lee, vice president for student affairs and dean of students; Philip Unger, assistant professor of history and coordinator of healthcare administration; and Peggy Krecl, admissions coordinator.
Recognized for five years of service included: Trey Drawdy, dean of the School of Professional Studies; Drew Childers, library assistant; SimonPeter Gomez, assistant professor of political science; Cynthia Kiernan, dean of the Price School of Education; Pamela Radford, music accompanist; Joe Skibo, maintenance supervisor; Ashley Wolary, athletic trainer; and Melissa Abbott, assistant librarian.
New employees were also introduced during the breakfast. Since August 2014, Reinhardt has hired more than 46 new faculty and staff, including seven who are alumni of the University.
