What's Open, Closed Thanksgiving Week In Cherokee County
State, county and city government offices, the post office, schools and others will be taking a break during the holiday week

CANTON, GA -- Most government offices and lots of businesses will be closing this week in Cherokee County as we observe Thanksgiving.
Here's a rundown of what's open and what's closed in Bartow for Thanksgiving 2017:
- All Cherokee County government offices, except law enforcement and others required for citizen comfort and safety, will be closed Thursday and Friday. County offices will resume normal operations on Monday.
- Cherokee County schools and Cherokee Charter Academy are on holiday Monday through Friday.
- Cherokee County Public Library branches will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed Thursday.
- City offices, including Canton, Ball Ground, Woodstock, Holly Springs and Waleska, will be closed Thursday and Friday.
- Trash pickup for Waste Management customers in the cities of Canton and Woodstock will be delayed one day.
