When is Graduation in Cherokee County?

The Cherokee County School District will hold graduation ceremonies next week at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.

Students in the Cherokee County School District and their families next week will converge onto First Baptist Church of Woodstock to formally commend graduating seniors before they embark on their next journey.

The school district has released its graduation schedule for 2015, which will include commencement ceremonies for six high schools taking place over the course of three days.

The district estimates this year’s collective graduating class count sits right around 2,500. The doors to the auditorium at the church will open one hour prior to each ceremony.

The graduation schedule is as follows:

Thursday, May 28

  • 4 p.m.: Creekview High School
  • 8 p.m.: Cherokee High School

Friday, May 29

  • 4 p.m.: Sequoyah High School
  • 8 p.m.: River Ridge High School

Saturday, May 30

  • 9 a.m.: Etowah High School
  • 1 p.m.: Woodstock High School

First Baptist Church of Woodstock is at 11905 Highway 92. The school district has also released a parking map for parents and students, which can be viewed here. Additionally, details on how to order a DVD of the ceremony can be viewed here.

The last day of classes for students will be Thursday, May 28. Students will spend June and July soaking up the summer rays before returning to classes on Monday, Aug. 3 for the 2015-16 school year.
